Tim 'hippy fuck' Danko is now a highly sought after collectible artist. I've heard he does a zine or something.
Also, you can now see Alice Mrongovious, Mandy Ord, and Greg MacKay all in SBS Network's new web thinger, 'Cornerfold'.
"Go mad for it". Okay.
from Private MacKay:
Sources indicate that PURE EVIL and SILENT ARMY are both causing heavy losses in central Melbourne Central Business District. Weekly sorties into CITYLIGHTS held territory are used to distribute comics and related art every Saturday from 11 to 3 until January 23rd.
January 23rd( to be precise) Marks the occasion of the end of the Citylights/Silent Army Represents.. Offensive and the opening of a new campaign at Hush Hush Gallery. Features include Royalchord and 8 Melbourne artists creating mutlimedia comics weirdness... to move and seemingly come to life before your very eyes..

All comics in Cambodia could pretty much be called small press. During the Socialist time there was a small but measurable samizdat small press, usually escapist in theme. (Not so much comics or zines as novels & short stories, rented out.) If you read French, try Olivier de Bernon's ' Literature of the Years of Miseries ' .

If not try Altavista or Google for an imperfect translation.

Aaron Burgess writes:
Check 1, 2.
If you would like to participate in the new anthology series THE INK coming out next year, then read the flyer for all the crazy details. THE INK will be the
most talked about comic to come from our shores, so while you may be reading through my poor attempt at self promotion, that still shouldn't stop you from
giving THE INK a shot.
We all like music, be it country, opera, chip tunes, goth, punk, or whatever get's your foot tapping. So get stuck into it. Only the best of the best will be
accepted, I ain't got time for slackers (though money always works), so put your nose to the grinder, and blow me away.
